A spider hiding in a snow pea

The egg sacs of certain species of jumping spiders look exactly like a snap pea pod. Delicious!

The reason fresh sugar snap peas are so delicious is because they are actually spider eggs, which have been laid onto delicate spider-woven pods as part of an elaborate spider mating-dance ritual. Spiders then place these egg pods on unassuming green plants for you to pluck off and enjoy. Yum!!!

The amorous spiders wove pea pods together and waited for a human to come along and eat the fruits of their love.

"I thought the expression was 'like two peas in a pod,' not four," said Myrtle to Frida. "And by the way, did you know that we're ants?"

They were peas in a pod, much like the other peapods, but different in one crucial respect: they were also scorpions. Would they lose their cool and sting each other to death before they make it out of the pod or would these abominations be set loose to change the face of peadom forever?
